Foundation Fighting Blindness
The Foundation Fighting Blindness looks to provide prevention and treatments for people with retinitis pigmentosa and other retinal degenerative diseases. At our eye care office we have seen first-hand the devastation retinitis pigmentosa can do to a person’s life. It essentially causes tunnel vision often by the age of 40. Eventually the vision loss is so severe that a person cannot drive and even has difficulty navigating their way around their own home. As eye care practitioners we feel helpless because currently there are no viable treatment options.
Donating to the Foundation Fighting Blindness will help us all get one step close to finding a treatment.
Blinded Veterans Association
The Blinded Veterans Association's goal is to better the lives of those who served in the Armed Forces and are living with sight loss. We have the utmost respect for the sacrifices made by our veterans. Being away from family and friends to ensure our security is an enormous sacrifice.
The least we can do is help improve their lives when they’ve suffered a vision loss.
InfantSEE
InfantSEE improves children's quality of life through early detection of sight-threatening conditions. It is so important for children to have good vision for proper development and success in school.
Early detection saved the sight of one of our team member’s sons, whose sharp vision and depth perception now is part of his developing into a terrific baseball player.
Macular Degeneration Foundation
The Macular Degeneration Foundation raises money for research in hopes of finding improved treatments. Macular degeneration is a severe loss of central vision that is all too common in the aging population.
Daniel, A 4SIGHT TEAM MEMBER, is someone who was instrumental in helping us create 4Sight Eyewear. His mother lost her sight from macula degeneration. In honor of Daniel and his mother, we are donating. to the Foundation to help them find better treatment options for the disease.
